Johnny Gardner is the Principal and Senior Attorney of Gardner-Bouchette Law LLC. He began his legal career in 1992 as an Assistant Solicitor for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit. Three years later, he entered private practice and founded his own law firm. Johnny concentrates his practice on DUI, Criminal Defense, and Civil Litigation. He also is a seasoned Family Court lawyer. Johnny is a member of the National College for DUI Defense. A Horry County native, Johnny attended Socastee High School and, in 1985, he graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a degree in Political Science. Before he attended the University of South Carolina Law School, Johnny served as a United States Army Captain in the 82nd Airborne.
Jarrett Bouchette is a trial attorney and managing member of Gardner-Bouchette LLC. His experience is broad-based and includes bench and jury trials in both civil and criminal court with subject areas ranging from breach of contract and fraudulent inducement to criminal domestic violence and murder. Jarrett routinely handles civil matters involving commercial and contractual disputes, construction litigation, auto and boating accidents, property disputes, and cases involving unlawful arrest and excessive force.
He also routinely handles criminal matters of all kinds in the Magistrates Court, Juvenile court, General Sessions Court, and Federal Court. Jarrett is actively involved in various professional organizations to improve his knowledge of the law and his trial practice including the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (where is currently a board member) and the National College of DUI Defense.
Jarrett’s primary strategy in any case, whether civil or criminal, is to prepare the case for trial. Though few cases ever get to that stage, it is only by preparing the case for trial that you can evaluate whether your settlement or plea agreement is the absolute best one available.
